Xfinity Buffering or Blocking Streaming

Quick tip for those Customers with Xfinity as their internet provider, that may be having issues with buffering, here’s how to have them disable the firewall on their Xfinity modem/router (if they have that option).
To disable the firewall, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1 Connect a laptop, computer or mobile device to your home Internet network and open a web browser. Go the Gateway’s Admin Tool at http://10.0.0.1 and log in with the following username and password:
      ◦ Username: admin
      ◦ Password: password
◦ Note: You will be prompted to change your password the first time you access. Please change the password and, if required, log in to the Admin Tool with the new password.
2 On the Admin Tool homepage, click Gateway.
3 Under Gateway, click Firewall.
4 From there, you can do this for both IPv4 and IPv6.
5 After choosing either, you will see the following options:
◦ Maximum Security (High), which will block most applications except web browsing, email, iTunes and VPN.
◦ Typical Security (Medium), which allows access to most sites and services, but blocks all peer-to-peer applications.
◦ Minimum Security (Low), which enables all secure apps. This is the default setting when you first use your Wireless Gateway.
◦ Custom Security, which will allow you to block individual types of traffic, or disable your firewall entirely.
6 Select Custom Security
7    Select Disable Entire Firewall
8 Click Save Settings
I’ve found this fixes issues with performance.

X TV App or Service Not Working

DingTV understands that technology can be frustrating at times. That’s why at DingTV we do our best to provide you with all of the needed tools to help you achieve the best viewing experience possible. If you feel positive that your account is paid and should be active then please review and first try the following trouble-shooting steps mentioned below.

NOTE: PLEASE INSTALL ONE OF THE NEW X TV APPS FROM OUR FILELINKED CODE 22015867

Most issues with any app can be sorted out by simply refreshing the app. Many devices will require you to do this in the device’s setting. Follow the steps below.

1st- Go to device settings
2nd- Find the Nitro TV app your using (On Fire TV devices this is found under Managing Applications)
3rd- Select on the app and select on Force Close
4th- Now select on Clear Cache
5th- Either open the app back up from within setting or go back to the streaming device’s home screen and open it from there. (Home screen method is recommended)
 

 

Your app should load up right away now. If you’re still experiencing issues then please make sure your device’s apps and X TV apps are up to date. You can find the app’s version number within the apps settings itself or within the device settings under the located app that is in question. You can find the latest updated versions for All X TV apps in our Filelinked Code 22015867. The update release date and version number located under each apps description, along with any helpful tips. If you’re experiencing buffering on all or most channels then the issue on your end somewhere. Keep in mind there are many things that can be causing these issues like an outdated app, weak or under-powered streaming device, poor internet connection, and or your internet provider is throttling your speeds.  Most people will be able to resolve speed throttling by using a VPN. All of this is explained in greater detail on our Buffering Solutions page linked below.

X TV Pro 2.2 Update Released 8/3!!

X TV Pro App Update

The X TV Pro 2.2 update was released 8/3 ! There are many ways to install the new update and I strongly recommend following the instructions below!! There is also a newer all exclusive X TV app called X TV Mate that out performs all others! Check out or Help Videos for more information!

  • First make sure you have your X TV username and password written down.
  • Next make sure you Uninstall the old version of the X TV Pro app before you install the new 2.0.3 X TV Pro app.
    NOTE: Keep in mind you DO NOT need to Uninstall the Original X PP App!
  • After you have uninstalled the old version of X TV Pro you may use any of the methods below.
    NOTE: All MY DingTV Box owners will simply use the Filelinked method. So may any other members who have used Filelinked in the past.

Method 1 (highly recommended!)
You can use any Filelinked code given in the past from My DingTV or one of these.

Method 2 
For those who prefer to use the Fire DL App you may use this code for the new X TV Pro app, 218033.
Fire DL can be found in the Google Playstore. Not all devices are optimized for Fire DL. If your having trouble try installing Filelinked or use another method.

Method 3 
You can use either Bit.ly url or Tiny url in such apps like Downloader. Any one of these links will work.

X TV PP App Fixed!

Great News! The Original X TV PP (perfect player) App is back up and running with a fully functioning TV Guide / EPG. In the past we asked and provided you with instructions on how to install the EPG URL manually in the X pp app settings. This step is no longer required since the X TV team has hard coded the EPG into the app. For possible performance issues we recommend going into the app settings and deleting the EPG URL. Note, make sure you save changes.
